Anthony’s journey started off at an early age in the Milwaukee alternative metal band "Acrophet". After several years of touring nationally, Rob decided to return to his Midwestern roots and focus on songwriting. His debut album “Hard to Believe” was released in 2000 and received critical acclaim. Anthony’s second release “Where I Belong” in 2004 earned him awards with the Wisconsin Area Music Industry including ‘People’s Choice Artist’ and ‘Acoustic Artist of the Year’. Anthony’s third release “Inside You Inside Me” (2006) broke new ground for Rob’s entrepreneurial venture. His involvement was based around a song he’d written called ‘Inside You And Inside Me’ which led to a nationwide campaign about the power of Entrepreneurism. Through this song, Rob gained the ongoing privilege of helping structure entertainment marketing strategies. Also as a result, he was given the opportunity of working with middle schools, high schools and colleges, using music to encourage and inspire students about the possibilities and power of Entrepreneurism.
His latest release “While The World Sleeps” and armed with an acoustic & his soul Rob Anthony has come to appreciate the directness of the acoustic approach and its ability to help reach an audience. Rob strips songs of faith, freedom, hope and inspiration down to an intimate, thought-provoking moment between musician and listener, a blend of heartfelt acoustic songs featuring ‘Down The Road’ an acoustic tribute to truckers who move the world along day to day written by Rob Anthony & the Love Monkeys lead guitarist Keith Pulvermacher.
